Into the Wild
Last night at the Lyric Cinema Cafe we were treated to what I think has just jumped to my top 5 movies of all time, Into the Wild. Perhaps made more poignant by it's basis on Johnathan McCandless' real life or how you can see yourself in Alex if ever so slightly, either way I thought it was amazing. The cinematography, the acting, the truth to the story as best we know it, and the way i think everyone can somehow identify with the adventure of Alexander Supertramp. Sad and happy all at the same time, full of beauty, irony and majesty. A commentary on running from the past to 'find one's self' and the pain involved. Highly recommended by myself, for what it's worth.

I have been telling everyone about this movie! I felt like I needed to pause it every five minutes to write down quotes and process it. It is such a rich movie. There's so much to connect with. It easily made my top 5 as well.
