Reminder to myself...
With all of our attention constantly focused on Iraq and our political dealings here domestically we often forget the rest of the world exists...let alone the struggles being faced in corners of the globe that I have barely heard of, and sadly probably couldn't locate on a map. But maybe in my ignorance and yearning to know the truth it will open your eyes (and mine) to the plights of those elsewhere.
Medecins sans Frontieres, or Doctor's Without Borders reports each year on the top 10 most underreported humanitarian stories of the year. Below is a link to the article concerning these ten stories. From conflict in Somalia, to the worldwide Tuberculosis epidemic this article informs us all of the situations faced by our global community. Please take the time to look it over and by it gain insight and knowledge, but as Thomas H. Huxley said, "The great end of life is not knowledge but action." May you and I both be spurred to action.
