Why do I have no new music?!

You know how you're in college and you know all of the best songs, all the obscure artists that are so amazing and no one else really knows about them...yeah, that seems to disapear as soon as you leave the college arena. I looked at my itunes and realized I didn't have a song that was released after 2004...blah, so retro...livin' in the past.

Fortunately a beautiful man hailing from the land of Boulder happens to be a radio consultant. So that means he listens to sweet music no one has heard of and tells radio stations about it...plus he gets to go to free shows all the time (now, i'm sure it's more complicated than that, but for now I will continue to idolize this job). Bodie. Bodie is his name and the guy has graciously rescued me from depths of my musical hell. Many new artists have been gracing my car stereo and my ipod lately. One of which many of you may have heard of, but is worth mentioning either way...Alexi Murdoch. Hailing from Glasgow, this up and comer has some amazing lyrics and smooth guitar rhythms, paired with a slight British Isles accent and it's some good music for a sunday morning and some coffee...this moment, now, with snow swirling trees swaying.

Check him out at http://myspace.com/aleximurdoch

Great songs that aren't on there: "Breathe" and "May the Grace".

Don't you love Alexi? Check out "Song For You" if you haven't heard it (but I'm sure you have, you're so cutting edge).
